    Heather Matuszek, born on April 2, 1987, is a native of Providence, Rhode Island. She has carved a niche for herself in the construction and design industry and is now serving as an Executive Assistant in Florida. Her journey from the frosty northeast to the sunny environs of the Sunshine State encapsulates a saga of personal growth and professional achievements.

     

    Early Life and Schooling

     

    In 1996, Heather moved with her family to Stuart, Florida, where she was raised with her two sisters. Her early years were characterized by a strong enthusiasm for sports, including ice hockey and baseball, which she pursued throughout her school days. Heather's athleticism was prominent at Martin County High School, where she participated in softball, powderpuff flag football, and rowing and demonstrated early leadership by serving as class vice president.

     

    Academic Achievements and Collegiate Life

     

    After completing high school in 2005, Heather Matuszek attended Mercer University and earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology while minoring in Leadership and Service. Her time at Mercer was marked by significant involvement in the Baptist Collegiate Ministries and a strong participation in intramural sports, underscoring her leadership and dedication to service. She co-authored a research article published in the Journal of Morphology, a testament to her academic diligence. Heather's college years were also tinged with personal tragedy, as she faced the loss of her older sister in a car accident, which profoundly influenced her future choices.

     

    Transition to Professional Life and Community Engagement

     

    After college, Heather returned to Florida to be near her family. She initially took roles that included substitute teaching and coaching high school softball. Her involvement extended to local ministries, highlighting her commitment to community service.

     

    Career Advancements in Quick Service Restaurants

     

    Her professional journey saw a pivotal shift in 2010 when Heather entered the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry. She progressed quickly from entry-level to managerial positions, driven by her robust understanding of business operations and leadership. In 2013, Heather moved to Largo, Florida, to serve as the Director of Operations at a QSR. Her excellence in this role led to her participation in an Interim Manager program in 2014, where she managed the setup and operation of new restaurants nationwide. By 2016, Heather's leadership skills had propelled her to the role of Owner/Operator of a QSR in Clearwater, Florida, a position she held until 2021.

     

    Exploring New Horizons in Real Estate and Entrepreneurship

     

    With an unyielding entrepreneurial spirit, Heather, along with her partner, ventured into property investment and established a cabinet design company and Feather Lane Consulting LLC. These ventures focus on restaurant business consulting and property management, showcasing Heather's versatility and commitment to branching into new business areas.

     

    Current Role in Construction and Design

     

    The construction and design industry, known for its complex coordination of planning, design, and construction processes, now benefits from Heather's extensive experience in operational management. In her current role, she oversees project management aspects, ensuring that construction projects meet their intended timelines and quality standards.

     

    Personal Pursuits and Interests

     

    Outside of work, Heather Matuszek is engaged to her long-term partner, with whom she enjoys international travel, including trips to European countries like France and Switzerland. An enthusiastic surfer, she also engages in music, plays guitar at local venues, and has a keen interest in DIY property renovations.

    Heather continues to demonstrate a solid commitment to philanthropy and community service. Since 2010, she has sponsored a child through World Vision and participated in numerous mission trips with Mercer University's Baptist Collegiate Ministry, including efforts in Haiti and disaster relief in Mississippi.
